Alexander Serrano

Alexander Serrano has been working in water, institutions and infrastructure for more than 10 years. Alexander combines experience both from the private sector and the international development field. As a senior water resources specialist at the World Bank he has contributed to numerous water initiatives in Latin America from institutional modernization advisory services in Chile to lending projects in Mexico, Peru, Panama and the design of low cost water information systems in Central America. He has been mentor in the MIT water innovation prize and collaborator at The Economist - Intelligence Unit and guest lecturer at the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service. Alexander is currently co-leading the World Bank’s Latin American initiatives on Water Security and Waste to Resource. Alexander holds a master degree in water policy from Oxford University and a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from the National Autonomous University in Mexico.
