Global Shield Financing Facility Annual Report 2023

The Global Shield Financing Facility (GSFF) Annual Report 2023 encapsulates the GSFF's journey over the past year and also delves into the heart of its mission through three Key Priorities, illuminated by real-world country examples, and explores the depth of its impact through three Key Themes. 

The GSFF is a new program that is an evolution of Global Risk Financing Facility. It aligns with the Global Shield against Climate Risks in its role as one of three financing vehicles of the initiative. GSFF responds to countries' requests for climate and disaster risk finance and insurance (CDRFI) through inclusive, country-led processes, facilitating increased access to pre-arranged financial instruments and mechanisms against disasters.
