From October 2 to 4, the Pacific Alliance Catastrophe ( CAT) Bond Technical Workshop brought together member countries of the Pacific Alliance - Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru. The members reviewed the results of the reports generated during the preparatory technical assistance phase for issuing a joint Catastrophe Bond and used this workshop to fine-tune the parameters needed to move to the structuring phase of the potential CAT Bond. From September 28 to 29, DRFIP attended the Global Innovation Week hosted by USAID and shared experiences with nearly 100 promising innovators in development. Vietnam faces significant risks to multiple natural disasters such as floods, typhoons, droughts, and landslides. Approximately 60 percent of the total land area and 71 percent of the population are at risk of typhoons and floods.
