On October 10, the government of Indonesia launched its Disaster Risk Financing and Insurance Strategy during the WBG and IMF Annual Meetings, in the presence of the country’s Vice President, the World Bank President, Indonesia’s Finance Minister as well as Minister of Public works and Housing, and participants from the Philippines and Japan. President Kim also provided remarks noting the World Bank Group’s continued support to global efforts to build resilience to natural disasters, such as providing contingent lines of credit.
