Analysis to Action: An Executive Education Program on Disaster Risk Finance in Asia
“Analysis to Action” the third flagship Executive Education Program on Disaster Risk Financing, was delivered between August 15-19 by the World Bank Group’s Crisis and Disaster Risk Finance (CDRF) team in partnership with the Southeast Asia Disaster Risk Insurance Facility (SEADRIF), and National University of Singapore’s Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (NUS-LKYSPP).
The program welcomed 40+ senior government officials from across 10 countries in South and South-East Asia for a 5-day intensive deep dive into technical and operational knowledge on Disaster Risk Financing (DRF). The objective was to advance Asia's DRF agenda through interactive learning modalities and peer learning opportunities so that clients can better understand and apply DRF principles and tools within their national contexts. As the next steps, several countries have requested further operational support on the topic from the World Bank Group.
