[Courtesy Announcement] Asia-Pacific Dialogue Platform on Anticipatory Humanitarian Action - DRF Roundtable

The 5th Asia-Pacific Dialogue Platform will be held virtually from the 19th to 21st of October 2021, each day from 10am to 2pm Bangkok time. We look forward to welcoming all anticipatory humanitarian actors from the Asia-Pacific for this special event. Entitled "Anticipatory Action to Meet the Challenges of the Climate Change Crisis", this year's dialogue platform will address the risks climate change poses to Asia and the Pacific and provide an opportunity to share approaches and case studies from specific countries. In several panel discussions and interactive events, we will discuss the different aspects of Anticipatory Action, the role of stakeholders, possibilities of advocacy and much more. Bringing together practitioners, scientists, and government representatives from the region, the platform is an opportunity to connect, exchange and learn from each other. For more information on the virtual event, click here.

Disaster Risk Finance Roundtable: Future Directions of Anticipatory Action: 

Join the Disaster Risk Financing roundtable to discuss innovative risk financing mechanisms for Anticipatory Action and explore how they shape the future of Anticipatory Action. This panel will explore how innovative risk financing models allow humanitarian actors and governments to become proactive risk managers and strengthen the Anticipatory Action approach. The panel consists of speakers from DG ECHO, the World Bank, and the Green Climate Fund. You are welcome to attend and ask the panel your questions.
