Climate and Disaster Risk Finance (DRF) Executive Education Program, University of Oxford, June 13-14
The Executive Education Program on Disaster Risk Finance (DRF) is targeted towards senior officials from Ministries of Finance globally, who are working to improve their countries’ financial resilience to disaster shocks. This is the pilot flagship program delivered under the World Bank Academy and the fifth edition of the flagship Executive Education program. This builds on work done through the Disaster Risk Financing and Insurance Program (DRFIP) team’s Financial Protection Academy. The invitation-only program will host 40+ participants representing 22 countries globally, and will enhance their technical, policy, and operational capacity to design and implement climate and DRF reforms that enable investments for strengthening the financial resilience of their country against climate shocks and disasters. The Program, to be held in Oxford, U.K., will be co-delivered with University of Oxford in collaboration with the Global Shield against Climate Risks financing vehicle Global Shield Financing Facility and the Insurance Development Forum.
